The DIR3500MCBT digital radio has a modern design and multiple functions. It supports DAB+, Internet radio and FM reception, and can also be integrated in a multi-room network. Music on CD, via Bluetooth for smartphone, tablet and PC or Spotify – the possibilities are endless. The radio can be connected to a multitude of terminal devices via Bluetooth, WLAN or Ethernet as well as via USB and AUX connection.
DAB+
Nationwide stations without static
With DAB+, the radio signal is transmitted digitally using an antenna. You have a wide variety of stations to choose from and can enjoy top-quality, interference-free transmission – with DAB+, static on the radio is a thing of the past. Furthermore, additional programme-specific information such as traffic data, weather maps, title and artist, album cover, etc., can be shown on the display.

Listen to radio in the traditional way
You can listen to your familiar FM radio stations in FM mode in the usual way.
Have you found your station? To enable you to quickly recall a radio station, you can store your favourite stations as presets; there are 30 presets for each mode (DAB+, Internet and FM radio).

The free Web portal ‘Frontier Silicon TM’ allows you to browse different radio stations and podcasts to your heart’s content. Set filters just as the fancy takes you. Today you want to practise your dance moves for the next wedding; tomorrow you will use an exciting podcast to prepare for your lecture. You’ve been on holiday for a long time and are now catching up on all the news? You can enter all this in the search filter with a mouse click and you’ll find the right thing for each situation – whether it’s country, genre, language, popularity or most recent.
To avoid losing your favourite stations, it’s best to create a favourites list on your PC or laptop which you can then easily link to the Internet radio.
CD drive for your collection
The integrated slot-in drive with CD loader and ejector supports all common audio formats. Therefore, there’s no reason anymore for your CD collection to gather dust on the shelf!
Listen to your favourite Spotify playlist on the radio
Your favourite songs at the push of a button – around 30 million songs from Spotify can be called up on the digital radio. It’s also easy to access your own playlists or existing playlists. Simply sign up for a Premium account, install the app on your smartphone or tablet or download it to your PC, and you can enjoy listening without limits – also offline. In addition, you can store up to 10 of your favourite songs and playlists as presets.
UNDOK app
You have just made yourself comfortable on the sofa with a cup of coffee, but have forgotten to select an appropriate playlist? With your smartphone or tablet and the free UNDOK app, that’s not so bad as you can use your device as a remote control to change the station and music source, control the volume or set the equaliser, for example.
Network streaming using UPnP
Even in the age of Spotify and Internet radio, you occasionally want to listen to your own songs – stored in sorted order on your PC – through broadband speakers. The DIR3600MBT also makes this possible. With UPnP, you can access your home music collection via the network.
Connection via LAN cable or WLAN
Whether you use LAN cable or WLAN to connect the digital radio to the Internet will depend entirely on your preferences and public circumstances. The pairing procedure is also very easy thanks to Wi-Fi Protected Setup. So you can completely relax and select the perfect location for your radio.
Alarm function with sleep timer and snooze button
In the evening, when you’re in bed, you have time to listen to interesting podcasts. As you drift off to sleep, relaxed and listening to exciting topics, your radio automatically switches off after a certain time thanks to the sleep timer. The next morning the radio switches on and wakes you with songs to get you going or the traditional alarm signal, whichever you prefer. Thanks to the snooze button, you can still doze for a while feeling completely reassured.
